MCP Electronic Engineering Pty Ltd is a specialist company offering design, commissioning and maintenance of High, Medium and Low Voltage electrical systems, spanning the fields of Protection, Metering, Control and Communications.

 

All technical personnel within this group hold tertiary qualifications relevant to their practice and most hold a Degree, Diploma or Engineering Certificate in a relevant Engineering discipline. They are drawn from a team which has evolved its own standards, techniques and practices applicable to maintenance and commissioning procedures during the last 50 years in the power generation and transmission industry. The disciplines are now highly sophisticated and have proved to be exceptionally reliable with the changing demands of the industry. All staff have undergone rigorous and ongoing in‑service training during this time.

 

The application of this experience is invaluable to the successful operation of power generation and distribution systems as well as industrial and commercial electronic systems in the following ways:

 

a) PROTECTION : Systems designed to continuously monitor power flows, and critical to the safety and stability of generation and power transmission systems.

 

b) METERING : Energy measurement systems design for monitoring and control purposes.

 

c) CONTROL : H.V Switchgear, Circuit Breakers, Transformers and the associated electrical or chemical systems used within the generation and power transmission networks. Monitoring/control of Water and Sewerage systems.

 

The members of this group have been responsible for the protection, control and metering commissioning of H.V. switchboards, generation equipment with all associated electrical/chemical auxiliary systems and transmission substations acquired by the State Electricity Commission throughout N.S.W. since 1960, and participated in the ongoing maintenance and augmentation work since that date.

 

M.C.P. sees itself as an invaluable resource group offering its unique capacities to the power industry generally and in particular to the following areas:

MCP is established in routine maintenance services in the above six areas on the basis of negotiated contracts of a fixed time duration with specified maintenance periods and routines on each item of equipment.
